Why mould appears

Remove waste promptly
Spot clean daily and remove uneaten food the same day. This single habit prevents most mould problems before they start.
Keep air moving
Stagnant, saturated enclosures encourage fungal growth. Provide adequate ventilation and avoid sealing the enclosure to hold humidity.
Replace when needed
If mould persists despite cleaning, replace the substrate rather than treating it. Persistent growth usually indicates an underlying husbandry issue.
