Processing waste varies widely: wash water, brines, cooking liquors and rinse streams all behave differently. Measure conductivity, solids and temperature before selecting a grade.
Brines and pickling liquors are high in salt and reduce absorption substantially. Salt-tolerant grades and higher dosage are usually required for these streams.
Continuous streams need fast uptake and controlled dosing; batch tanks allow longer contact and gentler mixing. The process determines the grade more than the waste type does.
Before treating at scale, confirm that the receiving facility accepts polymer-solidified material and check whether additional testing is required.
About FLORPOLY: FLORPOLY supplies super absorbent polymer for kitchen and food waste solidification, with grades selected for performance in saline, protein-rich liquids. Uptake speed, gel strength and particle size can be matched to bin, caddy or container systems. Contact FLORPOLY for a specification sheet, free sample or application advice.
