Never dispose down drains
The material is designed to absorb water and will swell if it meets moisture in pipework. Pouring it away is a reliable way to create a blockage.
Separate contaminated material
If the snow contains glitter, colourants or other additives, check whether those affect how it should be disposed of, and separate it from clean material where practical.
Consider reuse
Clean snow can be stored sealed and rehydrated for a future event. Reuse is usually straightforward and reduces both cost and waste, provided the material has not been contaminated.
