Collect it dry where possible
Sweeping or scooping material while it is still damp is far easier than dealing with dried particles. Plan collection before the material dries out.
Work from the edges inward
Gather the material toward the centre of the area to avoid pushing it around. Working inward prevents small fragments being spread across a wider area.
Deal with residue
A damp cloth or mop handles the remaining film. Rinse tools promptly, since material left to dry on brushes and shovels becomes difficult to remove.
Keep it out of drains
Never wash quantities of it into sinks or floor drains. Collect into bags or containers and dispose according to local waste rules.
