Keep it dry
The powder is hygroscopic and loses effective performance once it has absorbed atmospheric moisture. Store sealed in a dry, ventilated area on pallets, away from water sources and condensation.
Avoid heat and sunlight
Heat and ultraviolet exposure accelerate ageing and reduce absorption over time. Keep stock out of direct sun and away from heat sources, and do not leave open containers in vehicles or on site.
Handle bags carefully
Damaged packaging admits moisture and causes caking, which hurts flow and metering. Avoid throwing or hooking bags and segregate damaged units for priority use rather than returning them to stock.
Rotate and re-check
Operate first-in first-out and avoid long accumulation. Inspect periodically for caking or damaged packaging, and re-test absorption before relying on stock near the end of its stated shelf life.
