Three simultaneous stresses
High ambient temperature, longer dwell at the delivery end and a warmer starting load combine in summer. A configuration validated in mild conditions frequently fails when all three arrive together.
Add cooling margin
The direct response is more packs or larger packs, plus better insulation and sealing. Validate the revised configuration against the worst realistic route, not against an average one.
Control the load and packing
Pre-cool the product before packing, since a warm load consumes cooling capacity rapidly. Pack in a cool area, place packs around the load and minimise air gaps that allow convection.
Verify and standardise
Use loggers to find which stage actually causes the excursion, then fix that stage. Write the summer configuration into a standard procedure and review it before each high-temperature season.
